The story is that the Blue Star will be reopening in downtown Colorado Springs sometime this spring. I certainly hope so! Meanwhile, let’s recreate some old favorites from their old menu.

Fancy German Fare (October 28)

Let’s celebrate Oktoberfest with a menu inspired by the Rheingau region, known for its beautiful vineyards and yummy Rieslings. From a new version of Zweibelkuchen (savory onion tart) to fruit-stuffed roast pork, German food is more than sausages and sauerkraut! We’ll taste some German wines and get a handle on some of those names (Trockenbeerenauslese, anyone?)
